It is still completely doable, so if you still have Lightroom presets in this format, follow the steps below to get them installed. On a Mac, click on the Lightroom tab (to the left of File), then click on Preferences. If you are on the most current version of Lightroom Classic CC, click on the Show All Other Lightroom Presets box.
Then go open your Windows Explorer window and locate the zip file, which is most likely in your Downloads folder. Extract the file according to instructions in video tutorial or cheat sheet below. This setting is found to the left of Show Lightroom Presets Folder in your Preferences menu. If you have multiple catalogs, your presets will not show up in additional ones. If you merely double clicked on the folder (on a PC), you will get access to the presets, but those will NOT be extracted files and will NOT copypaste correctly and will NOT show up in your Lightroom. When I go to FileImport Develop Profiles and Presets the Dialog box that appears will not allow me to select the presets with.lrtemplate extensions. I have tried to move the files to the User Presets folder but Lightroom will not recognise them. The presets were sent to me by a third party and have the extension.lrtemplate. But you mentioned the menu command File Import Develop Profiles and Presets, which is in LR CC but not LR Classic. Perhaps you got confused about which program you were running. To import presets (.lrtemplate or.xmp) into LR Classic, click the in Develops Presets panel and click Import Presets. I am definitely running Lightroom Classic (it says Adobe Lightroom Classic CC just above my name in the top left hand corner) and the File Menu item shows File Import Develop Profiles and Presets. Also when I check installed apps using the Adobe icon in the menu bar, it says that Lightroom CC is not installed. Sorry, my mistake. In LR Classic, that menu item only appears in Develop mode (but I was looking for it in Library mode).
